Use Your HSA or FSA to Pay for Your somofit Membership
Investing in your health is one of the best decisions you can make. If you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you may already have funds available that could help cover the cost of your somofit membership.
Through our partnership with Truemed, qualifying members may be eligible to use HSA or FSA funds toward their membership, making it easier to invest in your health using pre-tax dollars.
What Is Truemed?
Truemed is an independent healthcare platform that helps people use eligible HSA and FSA funds for health and wellness expenses that qualify under IRS guidelines.
After completing a short online health survey, a licensed healthcare provider will review your information. If they determine that a somofit membership is medically appropriate for your individual health needs, they’ll issue a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). This documentation allows eligible members to use HSA or FSA funds toward their membership.
Eligibility is determined entirely by Truemed’s independent clinical team—not by somofit—and not everyone will qualify.
Why Might a somofit Membership Qualify?
Exercise is increasingly recognized as an important part of preventing and managing many chronic health conditions. Depending on your individual health history and needs, a licensed healthcare provider may determine that a structured fitness and recovery program is medically appropriate.
At somofit, your membership includes far more than access to a gym. Members enjoy:
- Unlimited fitness classes, including Kömplex strength training, Hot Sculpt, Pilates, Yoga, Stretch, Barre, and more
- Open Gym access
- Recovery amenities including Finnish saunas, cold plunges, and red light therapy
- Complimentary Fitness Consultations
- Evolt Body Composition Scans
- A supportive coaching team and welcoming community to help you stay consistent
Together, these services provide a comprehensive approach to movement, recovery, and overall wellness that may qualify for eligible individuals.
How It Works
Getting started is simple.
Step 1: Complete a Short Health Survey
Complete Truemed’s brief online health survey. The clinical review includes a one-time $20 fee.
Step 2: Receive Your Clinical Determination
A licensed healthcare provider will review your information.
If you qualify, you’ll receive a Letter of Medical Necessity that’s generally valid for 12 months.
Step 3: Use Your HSA or FSA Benefits
Continue paying for your somofit membership as you normally would, then follow Truemed’s instructions to submit your documentation for reimbursement through your HSA or FSA administrator. Depending on your plan, you may also be able to pay directly using your HSA or FSA card.
Because HSA and FSA contributions are made with pre-tax dollars, qualifying members may reduce their overall out-of-pocket membership costs. Individual savings vary based on your tax situation and plan.
